Synopsis: Berty is a well-off bachelor farmer living alone in the old family home. The house is run-down, and he survives mostly on fast food delivered by Jimmy. Berty becomes fascinated by Jimmy’s colourful lifestyle, which seems far more exciting than his own. On the advice of his best friend, Sonny, Berty decides to hire a foreign woman, Lana, to take care of the house. The decision proves to be life-changing. Joan, Berty’s sister, has always assumed that her sons would inherit the farm. When she hears about Berty’s new arrangement, her nose is firmly put out of joint.
